DUE TO her dynamic, intense, and penetrating approach to the teaching of language and Filipino literature, countless students have been encouraged and shown the way to the appreciation and love of, and pride in Filipino culture; her tireless and extraordinary sharing of knowledge with co-teachers on the effective teaching of communication, linguistics, cultural studies, and Filipinology have all been fountains of inspiration.
Throughout the years she has writen textbooks and publications that have guided academics and students in rhetoric and formal discourse, and stimulated critical thinking and appreciation of the signifcance of human communication.
Various organizations have recognized the quality of her achievements in pedagogy through many awards and citations. She has dedicated all her life and capabilities to the field of education, which without doubt is one of the most important factors in the development of the young and the teachers, in advancing the cause of Filipino culture and values.
